Young Adults Revamp

Through the growth numerically of our Young Adult gatherings, we know that our Young Adults are wanting and willing to build into the Willingdon Church community.

Throughout the year we saw an average of 10 young adults gather. Those who served in the young adults’ ministry did so faithfully throughout this time. Starting in September 2022, we decided to stop gathering and re-envision the Young Adult ministry. We decided to meet bi-weekly to slowly build momentum and to get the word out to our Church community that the Young Adults ministry was going to be relaunched. We previously advertised that the young adult ministry was only open to those in the age range of 18 to 25. But after careful consideration, we opened the young adult ministries to 18 and up. As our Young Adults are feeling and thinking their way through the revamped Young Adults ministry, we now average 61 young adults bi-weekly.

Life Groups Energized

Our Life Group leaders have been energized by having their focus be on relationship-building within their Life Groups.

Life Groups at Willingdon Church have been the lifeblood of discipleship and the leaders who run each Life Group have gone above and beyond. In September we hosted our first Life Group leaders dinner for 2022 and it was a time to cast a new vision. We had the opportunity to present to our Life Group leaders the 3 G’s of Life Groups and they are Gather, Grow, and Go. We presented our leaders with detailed summaries of what the 3 G’s looked like in the everyday life of the church. But the most memorable moment was when we allowed the Life Group leaders to ask questions about the future and direction of all Life Groups. It was an encouraging time to know the hearts of our Life Group leaders and for our leaders to know the heart of our Church for Life Groups.

Band of Brothers - Men's Ministry

The Men that call Willingdon Church home are being called to be a Band of Brothers.

The Men’s leadership team has done an amazing job of faithfully leading this ministry for a few years. Even with a lack of resources, they called men to gather together and used video teaching to lead the men. The Men’s leadership team even went a step further by organizing social events for the men to become better friends. There were about 20 to 30 men who faithfully gathered together once a month for fellowship. Through the preaching and teaching of God’s word, we have seen an average attendance of 45 men.
