Monday Night Zoom Bible Study
Our Monday Night Zoom Bible Study, an initiative that started over Covid, continued to run strong on a weekly basis in 2022 where Jr High students are excited to study God’s Word together.
We have studied Titus, Jonah, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, James, Mark, Jude, Ephesians and 1 Timothy.
Student Worship Teams
In 2022, we had 57 students in serve on our Student Worship Teams where they had the opportunity to lead worship and learn leadership skills.
This is one of the ways our students were able to engage with and serve the church.
Stillwood Camp Outreach
In August of 2022, we were able to send an outreach team of 8 students to Stillwood Camp to help run a kids camp by running games, crafts, music and leading small groups.
The kids camp was for kids ages 8-12.
Parenting Conference
We had our first Parenting Conference where we were challenged on getting to the heart of parenting.
As our first parenting conference, it was great to see parents learning, getting to know one another, and discussing what they are learning together. We had 71 parents attend. Parents who attended included parents of babies to parents of young adults.
Parents and Students Focus Groups
We had the opportunity to hold 2 parent focus groups and 1 student focus group in 2022 which allowed us to learn the real-life experiences and challenges that parents and students face.
The parent participants of the parent focus groups reflected the diverse experiences of our church – from Canadian born to newly immigrated, from single parent-homes to dual-parent homes. The student focus group reflected our Sr High students.
Marriage Enrichment Courses
We were able to have our Marriage Enrichment Course, Two Becoming One in 2 languages in 2022 – English and Spanish.
The Spanish Course was offered through our Spanish Language Ministry. We had 5 couples take the course in Spanish.
