Who Determines What is Right and Wrong?

Intro:

Canada is a pluralistic society. We have many different religious, cultural, and philosophical perspectives around us. We see life differently. We have different ways of viewing right and wrong. We behave differently. What should guide our moral norms?

When I asked Open AI about morality, this is the answer I received: “There is no single answer to determining what is right and wrong, as it can depend on personal beliefs, cultural norms, and societal values. Some people may rely on religious or spiritual teachings, while others may use reason and logic. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to determine what they believe is right and wrong.” Is it truly everyone for themselves?

  • “Live your truth” leaves us in a valley of broken bones.
  • “Evolving truth” just scatters the bones.
  • We desperately need God to give life to our bones.
