Helping Ukrainians here at Willingdon

We have been able to help more than 30 families who have come from Ukraine in this past year. We have provided up to one month rent, a selection of household start-up supplies, and our food pantry has been very active this year. Additionally, our Russian Language Ministry group and others have come alongside these newcomers with caring relationships and practical help like aiding in finding housing.

New Missionary Highlight

Antony Law is one of our newly-supported missionaries. For many years he served as a pastor at one of our local Chinese MB churches (South Vancouver Pacific Grace). Now Willingdon is his church home and he has a role with OMF focused on helping various churches effectively reach out to the “East Asian Diaspora” (people who have relocated from East Asia to Western Canada).

Journey Home - Refugee House

In 2022 Willingdon was able to purchase a house next to our existing properties. We have renovated it (thank you, Phil Balzer and crew), setting it up to be a transitional housing location for refugees that Journey Home cares for. Our hope is that this house will bless dozens of people each year.
