Craig e Sophie

Craig works to bring the fullness of God's Word to language communities that don't yet have it, using an innovative system for computer-aided translation. This software tool is called 'The Bible Translator's Assistant' (TBTA), and has been designed to accelerate the Bible translation process. Craig works remotely with several languages in Kenya and their respective translation teams - Swahili, Gichuka, and Rabai - to analyze their languages. This data is entered into the system to generate a draft of the Scriptures for the teams to use in their translation work.

  • Pray for insight as I learn the languages that I work with in Kenya, and for a good relationship with the mother-tongue translators there.
  • Pray that God would use the translated Scripture to have a long and lasting impact as these communities hear about God’s love in the language of their heart.
  • Pray for those further developing the TBTA software so that it remains an effective tool in accelerating Bible translation.
  • Pray that God would give us rest, peace, unity, and wisdom as we raise our two young children, Norah (October 2021) and Daniel (May 2025), to love the Lord and follow him.
