Craig was drawn to Wycliffe Bible Translators by his interest in linguistics and passion for God’s Word. Now he is using his programming and linguistic skills in an innovative system for computer-aided translation. This software is called ‘The Bible Translator’s Assistant’ (TBTA), and has been designed to speed up the Bible translation process.
Ministry Description:
Craig works remotely with translation teams around the world to analyze their language and enter the data into the system to generate a draft of the Scriptures. He is excited to play a part in bringing God’s transforming Word to people who don’t yet have it and to see technology leveraged to accomplish this faster.
Prayer Requests:
- I have recently started working with a language in Kenya called Gichuka. Pray for insight as I learn the language, and for a good relationship with the mother-tongue translator there.
- Pray for wisdom as I go through Exodus and other Old Testament books with a language team in SE Asia.
- Pray for wisdom and discipline in juggling my time between these two projects, support- raising, and having a young child at home.
- We thank God for our daughter Norah (born in October 2021), who is healthy and growing well.
