Choir & Orchestra

The Worship Choir leads the congregation in worship. As we enter into genuine worship, we compel others to do the same. The Worship Choir generally sings at the 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30 am Sunday services. Choir members are expected to sing in all three services and attend the weekly rehearsals on Wednesday evenings. The Choir also participates in Christmas, Easter and special productions. This ministry is open to anyone who can sing, loves to worship and is willing to make the commitment required.

Being a choir member requires a strong commitment. We are looking for people committed to attending all rehearsals and presentations (with the exception of sickness, etc). We realize the sacrifice this takes and it’s not a commitment everyone is able to make.

Besides musical skill, there is a focus on spiritual leadership. Training is provided so we can be active prayer partners – able to pray effectively and lead people to salvation if the opportunity presents itself. The prerequisite to this is being a member of Willingdon – or pursuing membership through Discovery Classes.

Like our rehearsals, auditions are done in a fun and non-threatening environment. Applications are accepted at our Wednesday rehearsals with auditions available after rehearsal. Once your application has been reviewed, we will be in touch to let you know of any openings available or coming up.
