Bookkeeper – Finance Administrative Assistant

Fulltime: 30 to 40 hours per week

Willingdon Church is looking for an experienced bookkeeper/finance administrator. This position requires a person with bookkeeping, payables and/or accounting experience. They would have the gift of administration, would be detail-oriented, proficient at data entry and enjoy working with numbers. They work well on a team and are passionate about serving the Lord for His Glory!

The Ideal Candidate will:

PROCESS REVENUE TRANSACTIONS

  • Process weekly tithes, offerings and other deposits into the accounting system for all transaction types (cash, cheques, debit/credit, online giving)
  • Donor administration, new accounts and answering inquiries
  • Assist in the mid-week count of tithes and offerings, and other deposits

PROCESS EXPENSE TRANSACTIONS

  • Process expense claims, corporate credit card statements and supplier invoices
  • Oversee suppliers’ monthly statements and recorded transactions
  • Process payables and answer supplier inquiries concerning payments
  • General filing and paperwork

Skills Required:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  •  Experience in an administrative or accounting field
  • Strong record-keeping and documentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Accounting software
  • Experience with database, banking and financial software systems
