Student Ministries Worship Director (Grades 6-12)

Willingdon Church is looking for an energetic, passionate Student Ministries Worship Director who has a heart for God, worship, and leading and equipping students inspiring our future worship leaders. As part of the Family Ministries team they will work under the direction of the Student Ministry Pastor.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the musical worship times and teams for our student ministry department.
• Equip students at all levels to play and lead worship for their peers on Sunday mornings, mid-week youth group programs and larger church opportunities when they arise.
• Creating, maintaining, and administrating schedules for student teams.
• Train and help students to run the tech equipment. (Sound Board, Lighting, Slides etc.)
• Showing grace, a shepherds heart, and servant leadership when working with students and staff.
• Maintain the equipment and instruments for student ministry.
• Oversee the budget and spending for the student ministry worship budget.
• Invite and include new students to the student worship teams.
• Hold occasional special training sessions that are instrument specific or dealing with worship leading skills.
•  Supporting the ministry leads vision and execution of worship in their area.

Qualifications:

• Musical ability in either vocal, piano, guitar, drums or all four.
• Training or understanding of musical theory.
• Experience leading worship.
• Experience working with students.
• Understands and lives the gospel.
• A heart and passion to train up student worship leaders.
