This Friday we are celebrating Good Friday to commemorate Jesus’ death on the cross, which paid the price for our sins so we could be forgiven. This wonderful act of self-sacrifice was foretold and foreshadowed for centuries prior to Jesus’ arrival on earth. The story is most powerfully and poignantly told through Israel’s exodus from slavery in Egypt.
On Friday we will walk through the elements of the Seder meal, which symbolizes freedom from slavery, just as Jesus celebrated this meal on the night He was betrayed.
In preparation please have
- a bowl of water and towel
- along with elements for communion ready (For communion, you can use grape juice or wine. For this occasion, it would be ideal to have Matzo bread, but any bread will do.)
Join us as we remember Jesus, the Lamb of God, and what He would do for us when He was sacrificed for the sins of the world.
