Dog Mountain Trail near Seymour
Come for some time of fun and fellowship and enticing food!
*The hike is weather-permitting so watch your emails for any changes in plans.
The Dog Mountain Trail is a short hike from Mount Seymour that offers a spectacular view of Vancouver on a clear day. While the trail has minimal elevation gain (165 m) and is only about 5.6 km return, it should be noted that the path is a bit more technical, requiring careful steps along several sections that are covered with slippery tree roots. Therefore, some hikers may find this trail moderately challenging. If you have knee problems, probably not the best hike for you. There may be flies or mosquitoes so a mosquito head net may be advisable. You can pick them up at Canadian Tire among other places.
Afterwards, for those interested, we will have lunch at the …CRAB SHOP! For the uninitiated, the Crab Shop is a fish and chip takeout place that makes the most amazing crab sandwiches that you can get locally. Not something to miss. Bring a camp chair and partake in seafood goodies and fellowship time. The Crab Shop is located at 2455 Dollarton Highway #121, North Vancouver.
