Explore Faith
The Connect & Explore is designed for seekers and newcomers to Willingdon Church. It serves as a pre-discovery class, providing a space for individuals to explore and ask questions about Christianity. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore a relationship with Jesus.
What does a typical Connect & Explore look like?
You’ll be warmly welcomed. It’s fun to connect as a group, break the ice, and say hello to each other while enjoying a light lunch meal on Sunday! We will build an open, light-hearted atmosphere together.
Next, we’ll break into smaller group of 4 – 6 people. These will be the people you’ll watch the videos with, discuss with, and come to know well through the 4 weeks of the connect & explore group. The videos are less than 45 minutes and each video introduces a big question that will frame the discussion to follow.
The format includes video-based sessions (4 sessions) followed by table discussions. Each session has time for connection, a talk and space for a conversation about life, faith and God. The key themes of hospitality and community are emphasized to guide people toward Jesus within the Connect & Explore. To enhance the sense of community, we provide a light lunch during the sessions. Furthermore, we aim to support individuals as they navigate and explore their walk with Jesus, fostering a sense of belonging to both Jesus and the larger Willingdon Church family.
