The Beautiful Way - Matthew
We live in a world of following and being followed. How many followers do you have on Instagram? How many friends on Facebook? How many followers on Twitter? How many views did last week’s sermon receive? It is assumed that our circle of influence is measured by followers and friends and views. We seek to be “influencers.”
Think about this for a minute. Who do you follow? Why do you follow them? Most likely they do something or represent something you value or find fascinating. Who follows you? What message are you leaving with them?
If Jesus were on earth today, would He be content to have one billion followers on Instagram, another 2 billion friends on Facebook, and another 2 billion followers on Twitter? Would social media be His main strategy or would He prioritize another way?
