Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation

KBNF (Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation) has been around for 20 years serving the most vulnerable in West Africa. KBNF  is a charity saving lives by tackling the most complicated medical conditions in Africa, brain and spine through surgery, supplies and support.

Neurosurgeons from North America fly over in medical missions to perform complex neurosurgeries for those that need it the most.

KBNF ships containers filled with medical supplies and equipment to hospitals and clinics to help improve healthcare. We focus on neurosurgery but understand that the infrastructure of the healthcare system is the foundation on which we build to accomplish our goals. We have been privileged to send 2 ambulances to Liberia as part of this effort.

KBNF train, educate and equip. Directly supports neurosurgeons and offers training to nurses and medics.

Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteers are needed to help sort linens and medical supplies for us to ship medical containers to West Africa. We are always in need of volunteers. We are family-friendly and can accommodate individuals or groups.

Volunteer opportunities are Monday nights from 6-9pm, Wednesday and Fridays from 11am - 2pm and every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month (not on statutory holidays.)
