Marriage Preparation runs twice a year in the Fall and Spring.  Our next course will run for 6 weeks on Sunday mornings.  To participate, please contact Pastor Isaac at least 2 weeks prior to the in-take Interview Deadline.

Upcoming Session:  April 7 – May 12, 2024, 7:45 – 9:45 am
In-take Interview deadline:  February 29, 2024

Who is the class for?

Wondering whether your dating relationship should move toward marriage?  Or are you already engaged to be married?

As couples make the decision to get married, their focus quickly moves toward the excitement of preparing for their special Wedding Day. Our ministry seeks to help couples prepare well for what their wedding day is all about – a life-long commitment to a godly and healthy marriage.

As such, our Marriage Preparation Course has been developed for couples who are seriously dating or engaged, by providing them with biblical and practical teaching on marriage (class) and marriage mentorship (you will be assigned a mentor couple) to go over couple-specific issues.

Topics:

  • My Expectations
  • God’s Expectations
  • Communication & Conflict Resolution
  • Money Matters
  • Sex & Children
  • Growing Toward Spiritual Oneness

  2. If either person has been previously married, you must meet with the Re-Marriage Elder Committee prior to final approval for the course.  This meeting will be arranged by Pastor Isaac. Weddings & Receptions

If you are interested in the use of church facilities for your wedding, please contact the church for availability through the email link provided above.

Note:  Successful completion of the Marriage Preparation Course is required to hold your wedding and/or reception at Willingdon Church, or to request a Willingdon pastor to officiate.

Due to the importance of all that should be considered and weighed, this course should not be hurried. Therefore, it is our recommendation that all couples hold off on setting dates and sending out invitations until they have completed the course in order to give themselves enough time and space to adequately process what they have learned through the Marriage Preparation Course.
