Walkathon with the Society to End Homelessness in Burnaby
Willingdon Church partners in local outreach with the Society to End Homelessness in Burnaby, which works towards the reduction and resolution of homelessness in the community of Burnaby. The Society assists individuals or families who are homeless or at risk, by providing basic necessities such as free food, transit passes, hygiene and other supplies and by bridging people to services providing assistance obtaining shelter, financial support, health care and other necessities.
Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly walk that raises money for the Society to End Homelessness and Burnaby Community Services, towards services for the vulnerable in our community.
The walkathon can be completed by individuals or in team bubbles. We encourage you to walk 2-5 km anytime between February 19-26. Deer Lake is a possible route, but you are free to choose any location for your walk.
