The mission of Project Amazon or what is now called Paz International, is to take the Gospel of Jesus to the more than 35,000 Amazonian towns and villages that have no Bible believing church. These communities are homes to millions of Portuguese speaking people who have never heard a clear presentation of the Gospel.
Jerry moved to Brazil in November, 2008 and joined the mission’s main base in Santarém, in January of 2009. In recent years Jerry was managing the administration of the main office for the Mission. Jerry has now taken on a new role. His duties include coordinating specific projects within the Mission with a special focus on the water filter program, assisting with the international short term teams, helping to raise funds for specific projects, liaising with our support organization in Canada, and assisting in the missionary recruitment process. Jerry is also involved with his local Brazilian church and is engaged in one-on-one discipleship.
Paz International also has ministry bases in Japan, Portugal, Italy and Argentina.
