Isaac Lee | Family Ministries Team Leader

 

How long have you been in ministry? Since 1998
Why do families matter to you?  I believe God gave us families to be the primary place to love, be loved, grow, and reflect Christ. Also…families can drive you crazy the most 🙂
What activities do you enjoy?  Camping, fishing and crabbing.
What are your favourite foods? Sushi, Korean BBQ & ribeye steak.
What’s a verse you just keep coming back to?  Romans 8:28-29 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.  For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.”

How long have you been in ministry? Since 1993
What do you love about your job?  That I get to work with youth and tell people about Jesus.
How do you like your eggs?  Sunny side up over hashbrowns.
Do you have any hidden talents? Target Sports.
What’s a verse you just keep coming back to?  Matthew 11:29-30 “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

How long have you been in ministry? Since 2007
What do you love about your job? I love that I get to witness Jesus transforming students’ lives and am entrusted with the privilege of walking alongside them as they figure life and faith out.
Do you have any phobias? Snakes!
What are you currently watching, reading or making? I’m working on my watercolour painting skills, which I started learning during the pandemic.
What’s a verse you just keep coming back to?  2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

How long have you been in ministry? Since 2015
What do you love about your job? I love that I get to help young people know God and know themselves better. That I get to bring clarity and understanding to God’s Word and show students the love and grace of Jesus.
How do you like your eggs? Scrambled or fried.
What was the first thing you remember buying with your own money? Probably a LEGO set when I was about 12…or Super Mario Sunshine for the GameCube.
What’s a verse you just keep coming back to? Colossians 1:28  “[Christ] we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.”

Nat Wong | Worship Associate

How long have you been in ministry? I’ve been doing Worship Ministry ever since I was in the gr. 9 student band in 2011.
What do you love about your job? I love being able to equip & empower students to use their gifts to glorify God and see them grow in their leadership ability. Walking with students as they learn to lead both inside and outside the church is a joy.
How do you take your coffee? Single Origin Pour-Over for me, preferably Columbian or Kenyan.
What’s your favourite breakfast cereal? Frosted Flakes, all the way!
What’s a verse you just keep coming back to? Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Sherie Etches | Admin. Assistant

 

How long have you been in ministry?  I started years ago, took a break to have 3 kids, and have been back since 2014!
What do you love about your job? I love hearing about students coming to faith in Christ and starting to really own their faith.
Do you have any hobbies?  I love puzzles and have quite a few of them.
Are you an early bird or a night owl?  Night owl for sure!
What’s a verse you just keep coming back to? Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
