Giving to the Benevolent Fund

The Benevolent Fund provides emergency help in areas such as rent and shelter needs, groceries and other basic essentials to the Willingdon Community.

Who does the fund support?

The fund also provides financial support for a variety of projects to serve our neighbourhood community through partnering with organizations such as Journey Home Community (to support local refugee families), the Burnaby Neighbourhood House (a food program to help feed those in need) and the Society to end Homelessness in Burnaby (to help serve Burnaby’s vulnerable citizens).

The Willingdon Church Benevolent Fund is approved by the church Elders and is disbursed for its intended purposes at the direction of the Benevolence Fund Committee.

A note on designated giving at Willingdon. Willingdon Church honours donor intent wherever possible. If a Designated Giving project is fully funded or discontinued, donations will be deployed towards other projects that help people know Jesus.

How do I give to the fund?

You can designate giving directly to the Benevolent Fund by selecting “Benevolent” in online giving (see button below) or by indicating it on an Offering envelope.

We are so grateful for the generosity of many people who have helped provide for the needs of individuals and the community over the years. Thank you.
