Sometimes we’re tempted to be less than honest. I am often asked the question, “What do you do for a living?” If I am honest, I cannot hide my connection to Jesus. Identifying myself as a pastor often changes the nature of the conversation. Sometimes it leads to silence. If you’re not a pastor, maybe you can try to hide your identity as a follower of Jesus for a time, but how would you then identify yourself? When people look at you, who do they see? Who do they think you follow? What do you influence them toward?
