Romans 14:1-12

Kathy and I have just returned from 2 wonderful weeks in the Holy Land. Even as we reveled in the joy of walking where Jesus walked, we also were saddened by the tensions that have long existed in that part of the world. Many wonder what solution can possibly be offered to the seemingly hopeless problem between Jews and Palestinians. The answer is clear – Christ. According to Ephesians 2:14, Christ has broken down the dividing wall of hostility between Jews and Gentiles. This is more than a theoretical principle, it is intensely practical. Today we will see how this was worked out between Jews and Gentiles in the early church. We will also see how the same principle will bring great unity today.
