Have Religions Fueled Wars?

James 3:13-4:4

Some reject the Christian faith because they view it, along with other religions, responsible for a great many wars. Everyone, regardless of whether they know the details has heard of the crusades. Contemporary examples of religious wars include terrorism, the Bosnian massacre, civil war in the Sudan, Kosovo, Ireland, East Timor and so on. Each of these examples make some wonder if John Lennon wasn’t right when he asked us to imagine a world with no heaven and no religion. Would that really be a good thing?

Today we will not be answering the question of religion, but rather the relationship of the Christian faith to war and violence.
