Philippians 1:1-2

The word “fellowship” is one of the most abused words in the Christian vocabulary. It often means coffee, free flowing conversations, barbeques and friendship. Of course, all of these are good things. But rarely, in thinking of fellowship, do we use words like “danger”, “sacrifice” “adventure” or “an unbreakable common mission.” And yet that is precisely what fellowship means in the book of Philippians. This is a book that will challenge us to form partnerships dedicated to advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ in our world. This book will make us excited and nervous, courageous and fearful. But above all, it will inspire us to advance the gospel.
