In the first three chapters in the Book of Acts we have seen how the gospel has gone forward unimpeded. However, we know both from our own experiences, and what follows in the rest of Acts that the gospel message offends many and incurs a violent response. But how exactly does the gospel offend? And if the gospel is so offensive, why would anyone choose to believe it? Let’s look at our text today to see what the gospel demands from us and how we might go about living our lives in accordance with it.
