The expectations that we bring to anything – whether it be a holiday season, our family life, our career or any of a multitude of other areas in our lives – can have a profound effect on whether we perceive those areas of our life to be a success or a failure. Nowhere is this more true than when it comes to our expectations about who Jesus is and what it should be like to follow Him. Many people have shipwrecked their faith on wrong expectations about Jesus while others have weathered the most powerful storms because they have accurate and correct expectations about Jesus. Today we will examine how we can have the right expectations about who Jesus is.
