February 22, 2015 - Sunday Service

Acts 9:1-19a

Too often people have a skewed view of who God is. They see him as a loving father but one who is stern and distant and who dispenses disapproval and punishment on anyone who doesn’t live up to his high standards. Others see him the other way, viewing him only as a kindly old grandfather who benignly grants little favors to those who asks him nicely. But as we will see from the story of the conversion of Saul, God is vigorous and passionate about extending his grace – his undeserved kindness – to us because he loves us and wants to live in a full relationship with us. And when we truly understand that grace, as Saul did, we see how beautiful and amazing God is.
