Freed From The Pressure

Galatians 2:15-21

What kind of pressure do you live under?

Our culture is the “super-glue” which binds us together and gives us a sense of identity.  In and of itself, culture is good and necessary.  It provides a design for living, a way of coping with relationships, a way of dealing with matters of life and death.  Our culture is grounded in a worldview (a way of seeing) which leads us to hold to a set of beliefs, value some things over others and behave in a certain way.

When we follow Christ, we change. Sometimes, our worldview, beliefs, values and behaviors no longer reflect that of our surrounding culture, and we feel pressure to conform.  Our sense of belonging and identity feels threatened.  How does the gospel help us deal with this pressure?
