Galatians 3:26 - 4:7

If asked to identify yourself, how would you answer? Google images for identity reveal multiple images of fingerprints and human bodies with question marks over them. We live in the world of identity theft and identity confusion. Personal identity touches on the core of who we are. For this reason, we feel vulnerable. Can your personal identity be altered or stolen?

Our personal identity has to do with our self-understanding (self-image) and our sense of belonging (relational connections). When we consider our personal identity, we often contemplate gender, marital status, family, religion, ethnicity, culture, geographic location, nationality, profession. How does being a follower of Jesus change our personal identity?

If you were to ask God who you are, what would He say?
