Anyone who has been a part of a church for any period of time knows that churches can be places of both real joy and real frustration. That’s because within any church there are all kinds of relationships. Some are incredibly beautiful and powerful, others are simple and average and still others can be difficult and sometimes very frustrating. And yet, by God’s grace (and by His design), we are all called to live in community with one another. So how should we deal with our relationships with one another in the church? What is the right attitude to have, both in those relationships that bring us great joy as well as those that cause us real grief? This is not a new question for the church. In Colossians 3 the Apostle Paul gives us wisdom from God to guide us in managing our relationships with one another.
