God Moved In

John 1:14-18

Throughout history, civilizations (people groups) have imagined God to inhabit another world, the heavens or, maybe, a distant mountain.  World religions often portray a god (or gods) who remains distant and should not relate closely with human beings.  Many in our Western society, if they don’t hold to atheism, will consider themselves to be agnostics – God is unknowable.

Can God be known?  And if he can be known, how does he reveal himself?  What is he like?  Does he want relationship with us?
