John 10:11-18

A picture or an image is worth a thousand words. Jesus uses images to describe himself. “I am the bread of life” is a powerful image of sustenance and satisfaction. “I am the Light of the World” responds to our global yearning for light, knowledge, direction, and discernment. “I am the door” speaks to our need to find the way to protection and life. All of these pictures of Jesus allow us to taste and see that Jesus is good.  In John 10:11, Jesus says, “I am the Good Shepherd.” What makes Jesus the Good Shepherd?
