Revelation 2:12-17

Where did you buy bread this week? Do you always buy the same bread at the same place?

In Scripture, bread is a metaphor for life and sustenance. It symbolizes God’s provision, the Word of God that nourishes people and, ultimately, the body of Christ broken for us. Bread symbolizes God’s supreme gift, Jesus, and the eternal life received through Him.

Why would a disciple of Jesus ever go for bread elsewhere?
