Genesis 3:14-24

The book of Genesis tells the grand story of humanity. It begins with the good news: people are made in the image of God. We are created to have relationship with God. He looked at His creation, at Adam and Eve, and called His creation, “very good.” Creation was filled with hope! Then comes the bad news: people didn’t want relationship with God on His terms. Adam and Eve thought they were better off without God. Relationship with God was broken and ever since that day all of humanity suffers with the consequences of that decision. Ever since that day we have lived with pain, broken relationships, struggle, anxiety, and often a loss of hope. Is there good news in this story? Do we have reason to live with hope today? Where can we find hope for our lives, for our world?
