Revelation 8:1-12

As a child, when I thought I had been caught doing something wrong my dad was quiet. It was never a comfortable silence. Why wasn’t he saying something? Was he just calculating how severe the punishment was going to be? Was it possible he had not noticed? Was I going to get away with this one? Would he consider a plea for mercy?

Why would God be silent?
