This is an unusual Easter. We find ourselves in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis. I want to acknowledge that some of us may not be ready for Resurrection Sunday. Some of us may feel like the disciples on Good Friday. Hopes are dashed. We experience pain, separation, and loss. It is a difficult day. Some of us may feel like the disciples did on that Saturday, between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. It’s a quiet day. We are processing. All we have are questions. Why are things as they are? We may not be ready for the celebration of victory, but God can meet us wherever we are today.
