So what do you long for? Perhaps you long for an end to racism and social injustice. Recently, I heard a pastor from New York say, “Some just want to hang out with people who believe the same thing. It’s comfortable. I want to be with people who are hungry for something.”
I would submit that to engage meaningfully in the fight against racism and social injustice, we need to have our eyes on the finish line. If we don’t have our eyes on the finish line, we run this race for a day or a week or a month and then ride the next wave.
