Intro

The title of this message would be the true confession of every person present in today’s text, Exodus 19. If we made the claim, “We met God,” would it reflect reality or presumption? Is this not at the very essence of what it means to be a follower of Jesus; that is, to have met God and walk in His presence?

It’s not uncommon for us to say we would love to have God reveal Himself to us. It would be so good to receive the gift of God’s presence. It would be so good if God spoke clearly to us. Are we ready to meet God and hear Him speak directly to us? Are we ready for the gift of His presence?
