Intro

In Matthew 22:1-33, Jesus tells a parable about a king’s invitation to a wedding feast—a powerful picture of God’s invitation into his kingdom. Yet, the invited guests refuse to come, exposing their rejection of God. The religious leaders of Jesus’ day also rejected him by challenging his authority, denying his power, and ultimately refusing his gospel. But the invitation remains open. Who will respond? In this sermon, we’ll explore how we reject God in our own ways, and more importantly, what it looks like to receive the gracious gift of the gospel and enter into the joy of the King.
