The wisdom of this age (the wisdom of our culture and moment in history), is always changing. Each generation overturns the consensus of the previous generation when it comes to science, morality, values, lifestyle (e.g., how to balance life and work), family (e.g., how to parent – talk to any boomer parent with millennial children parenting their Gen Alpha grandchildren).
Like little children, we are drawn to new things, new narratives, and new fashions. We are easily carried by the spirt of the age because we tend to focus our attention on the moment (what is right in front of us). That is what immaturity looks like.
What does maturity look like? What is the wisdom of God? Who is the friend who can give it to us? How does it remain with us?
