Local Outreach volunteers carry on Jesus’ ministry by showing His love practically in our neighborhoods, cities, and beyond. Listed are various opportunities to serve both in our church and with partnerships in our city!

Opportunities at Willingdon Church:

  • Global Mission Prayer Gathering (Every Sunday at 10am in Room 3450)

Join us to intercede for the Nations and Missionaries around the world!

  • Mission Circle (Every Tuesday from September-May at 9am, in HQ/1500 on the lower floor.)

Mission Circle supports our missionaries, our short-term mission groups, other mission agencies worldwide, and each other in practical ways. Everyone is welcome to join!

  • Food Drive (First Sunday of each month)
  • Benevolent Freezer (Frozen meals, bread, and pastries to be given to individuals and families in need)

Opportunities In Our City:

  • Potter’s Place (Willingdon group serves one Sunday a month)

Serve food to the homeless, lead worship, prepare the food, lead a devotional, or pray for people. We greatly need more volunteers!

  • Journey Home Community

Various positions and opportunities working with Refugees and Immigrants)

  •  House of Omeed

Various positions to serve Farsi speaking Afghani or Iranian refugees/immigrants integrate into Canada

  • Society to End Homelessness in Burnaby (Every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)

Serve and prepare food, organize food pantry, organize clothing donations, and more!

  • Neighbourhood Clean-Up and Prayer Walk (Anytime)

Gather your friends, Life Group, or family and go on a guided prayer walk to intercede for our city and neighbourhoods, and take care of God’s creation around us while on the walk!
