Volunteer: Phone Ministry
The phone ministry connects visitors and congregants with the Willingdon Church body and its ministries through birthday calls, prayer calls, and more. Our faithful and dedicated volunteers share the love of Jesus and encourage people to seek a closer walk with God.
What Do Phone Ministry Volunteers Do?
Prayer
Prayer is at the heart of this ministry. We pray before each call, and we offer prayer to each person that we call. We also follow up on prayer requests made on our Connect/Prayer Cards.
Visitor Follow-Up
When a visitor fills out a Connect/Prayer Card, we contact that person within the first week of their visit to extend a warm welcome and thank them for visiting Willingdon Church. We also invite them back to join us, and this is a wonderful opportunity to introduce Willingdon’s various ministries, such as Discovery Classes and Life Groups, so that they can get connected in caring community.
Care & Birthday Calls
We wish each of our regular attendees and members a happy birthday! If someone is not already involved in a ministry, we also call them in order to stay connected and pray for them.
