Willingdon Church's Response to COVID-19

UPDATES – SEPTEMBER 17TH, 2021

The provincial government put into place new restrictions and health guidelines effective August 25th, 2021.

We are grateful to our government leaders and health authorities for granting faith communities the freedom to worship and for recognizing religious gatherings as an “essential service which plays a critical role in connecting the community by supporting beneficial and safe social interactions.”

They also announced that worship services are exempt from the new health orders including the mask mandate and proof of immunization.

We understand that some may be hesitant or concerned as we gather together in-person for worship services and gatherings.

In consideration of those who will be attending, masks will be required when circulating around the church building.  We will also continue to practice social distancing and frequent cleaning and sanitation procedures in all venues.

In the Sanctuary, we will practice social distancing and masks may be removed once you are seated.

In the Connection, there will be a simultaneous ‘live feed’ of the services for those who wish to worship with others, but prefer to worship in a room where masks are required at all times, including when singing.

We ask that you would be patient with each other, love one another and exercise the grace and care for one another as Jesus has called us to do.

Please take time to review the updated Willingdon Church guidelines listed below for more details on in-person worship gatherings and services, as determined and affirmed by our elders and leadership team.

We are so grateful for your patience, understanding, support and prayers during this time and throughout the pandemic.  We will also continue to offer online services and virtual opportunities to connect and care for our church family and community around the world.

We praise God for His grace, protection and provision during this time and we trust Him to continue to guide and protect us as we serve and continue our mission “to know Jesus Christ personally and carry on His ministry”.

We are truly looking forward to seeing you in person!  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
To God we give the glory!

With appreciation
Penny Fuchihara
Executive Director
