Willingdon Church's Response to COVID-19
Willingdon Church’s Response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
June 25th, 2020
Dear Church Family,
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to monitor the current status of COVID-19 and receive updates from the Provincial Health Officer, the BC Centre for Disease Control and Fraser Health.
Recent government updates, announced the BC Restart Plan, which included prohibiting gatherings larger than 50 people. While we are eager to gather together for worship, the elders have decided to wait before resuming our in-person weekend services.
Your health and wellbeing is always of the utmost importance to us and we want to ensure that we are doing our part to curb the spread of the virus and be compliant with our government directives, therefore
Willingdon Church will continue to suspend in-person services until further notice.
We will continue to monitor the situation daily and will post updates on our website about when we will gather at our physical location again. By not gathering at this point in time, we are caring for our church family and serving our community, including those who are most susceptible to this disease.
While we are suspending our physical gathering, we are not suspending our mission to serve and worship Jesus. Our desire is to continue to seek God as we trust in Him and find alternative ways to connect and care for our church family and local community. Please check our website and review the list below to find out how we can all stay connected!
We have been very encouraged by the many ways you are engaging; by joining us for services online; sharing your faith; gathering together as a life group or ministry group (virtually or socially distanced); serving the local community; continuing to faithfully give; exchanging words of encouragement and acts of kindness to each other and our teams and most of all your prayers! We appreciate all of you and miss seeing you, but know that this will not be forever and we look forward to the time when we can all gather together in person.
In times of uncertainty, we will walk in faith and trust in the Lord. Please continue to pray for protection and for those affected by COVID-19. Our desire is to walk together with you, to stay connected to you and to support you and our community, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
In Him we trust
