Membership at Willingdon Church

If you have placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and Lord and want to take the next step of faith through baptism, Willingdon Church would love to invite you to become part of our church family through membership. Everyone who is in agreement with the basic doctrines and goals of Willingdon Church may join membership through immersion or by confession of faith.

There are two ways in which you may become a member of Willingdon Church:

By Confession of Faith

Any person who confesses faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and who is able to give evidence of his/her baptism (believer’s baptism) may apply for membership by confession of faith.

By Baptism (Immersion)

Any person who confesses faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and demonstrates their new birth through his/her conduct may apply for baptism and membership.

Process for Baptism & Membership

Pre-Requisites:  

• Completion of both Discovering Jesus course and Discovering the Church Family course.

Application:

• Complete the Application for Baptism and Membership and submit it to the church office. (Application forms will be given toward the end of Discovering the Church Family course.)
• Write a testimony. If the membership candidate is being baptized, a written testimony must accompany the Membership Application form.

Meeting with the Elders/Pastors/Leaders:

• Attend the Elders/Pastors/Leaders Interview. You will share your testimony with them.
• Record a Baptism Testimony video.

Baptism Service:

• Attend Baptism/New Members Joining Service
