Imagine if you were asked to play the Mongolian horse fiddle right now. What would you feel? You would probably feel a mix of emotions: anxiety, fear, doubt, confusion. You may question the wisdom of the person making the request. Why are you being asked to do what you are not prepared to do?

We all experience feelings like doubt, fear, anxiety, worry. No ethnic or language group is exempt from these emotions. They are integral to being human. In today’s passage, John 14:15-27, the disciples are experiencing these emotions and there is reason for it. What will Jesus say to them?
