Forgotten or Famous

Intro

Joseph’s life is a Masterpiece in the Making. But it is not an easy, straight-forward life. God is painting brushstrokes in both the great moments and the challenging moments, creating a masterpiece that has depth, texture and beauty. In Genesis 40, we catch up with Joseph in one of the low points of his life. He is forgotten, in prison, in a land where he is a slave. He would rather not be where he is. But in the midst of waiting and challenge, we see Joseph exemplify a couple of characteristics that we should find instructive:

  1. Willing: whenever, wherever, whatever
  2. Faithful: forgotten or famous

Reflection Questions:

  1. Am I truly willing to be used by God, whenever, wherever, whatever? And if not, why not? What needs to change?
  2. How is it going for me at being faithful to God, even while waiting or in a challenging season? What needs to change?
