Open and Unashamed - Psalms
Psalm 23 is personal. Two everyday images are employed: The LORD (Yahweh) as Shepherd who genuinely cares for His sheep, and the LORD as Host who cares for His guest. The psalm is written from the perspective of the sheep and the guest. It expresses complete trust in Yahweh for provision, protection, and guidance. It is a psalm of the LORD’s strength, grace, and comfort in all seasons of life, even the dark times. We would do well to unpack its rich meaning.
