Impatience reveals something about our human nature that we need to be acutely aware of. We tend to want to find our comfort, security, and worth in things that are tangible; things that we can control to deal with our impatience. When we act in our impatience, we can easily put our personal agenda above God’s plan for us. The story of Exodus 32 is a stark reminder of the high price we pay when we act in our impatience.
