Intro

Loving people can be difficult, but it is what God has called all Christians to do. Thankfully God’s Word has much to teach us in Romans 12-16 about how to live a radically transformed life that can be both pleasing to God and characterized by love!

Unfortunately for all of us, we have a tendency to default into legalism when it comes to showing our love for God and our neighbours – Christians and non-Christians He has sovereignly brought into each of our lives.  

This message will help us think about How God wants us to….

1. Not Let Law Get in the Way of Love (13:8-9)
2. Start Loving Your Neighbor (13:10)
3. Wake Up to the Opportunities to Love Properly (13:11-14)

Reflection Questions:

1. How would your life be different if you truly lived as if you didn’t have to earn God’s love?

2. What would it take for you to be more “awake” to the opportunities to love your neighbour as yourself?

3. Has the Holy Spirit brought a particular person to mind who He wants you to love? How can you start doing that today?
